Ads almost always include a big headline: ‘Home Mailers Needed: Earn $1,870.00 Every Week Stuffing Envelopes.’ In smaller print, they discuss how legitimate businesses need it. Work from the comfort of your home, as many or as many hours as you like. Everything will be supplied, all you have to do is stuff the envelopes, label them and mail them.

What these companies very carefully avoid telling you is that YOU are responsible for finding people who want the marketing material you are putting in the envelopes. And if you don’t find people willing to give you their names and addresses, you don’t get paid a single penny.

Most of the time, it’s the people you’re advertising to who will send you the money these companies claim you’ll get for every envelope you fill. Legitimate companies that need stuffed envelopes use large machines capable of stuffing hundreds of envelopes per hour. They’re not going to pay you $4 or $5 to stuff their envelopes.
