Whether you are planning a Disney cruise or are a smoker, you may be wondering about the new rules for smoking on board. Currently, Disney does not allow smoking in cabins or in public areas. However, you can still smoke outdoors on certain areas of the ship.
As for alcohol, you can only drink alcohol in designated areas. Alcohol and other perishable items must be packed in carry-on bags or in a checked bag. If you check a bottle of liquor or other liquid, you will be required to retrieve it after the cruise.
You can find out the current policies on the Disney cruise Line website. If you are traveling to a Disney destination, you are expected to arrive by 5:00 pm. Once you have checked in for the cruise, you will receive your schedule for the day. These will include dining and recreation opportunities. The adult entertainment district includes night clubs and adult-exclusive restaurants. A variety of children’s programs are also included, such as the Disney Character Breakfast, and meet-and-greet opportunities.
Can You Smoke on a Disney Cruise?
Guests who are under 18 are prohibited from enjoying the adult-exclusive dining, whirlpools, and spas on the Disney ships. If you are over 18, you can swim in the adult pool on the ship and start the day at the Cove Cafe. For an additional fee, you can enjoy dinner in the adult-exclusive restaurants. There are some exceptions to this rule, such as on Disney Wonder.
While smoking on a Disney cruise is permitted, you can only smoke in certain outdoor areas. The Disney Wonder has a deck 4 outdoor area. Deck 4 is only accessible from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. In addition, you can only smoke in the Port corner of the Horizons observation lounge. Similarly, the decks on the Fantasy, Magic, and Wonder have an outdoor area.
Depending on the itinerary, you can expect to encounter a different set of smoking rules. Among other things, you will not be allowed to bring a personal cooler or raft onboard. Also, you will not be able to take homemade food onto the ship.
Disney does not allow firearms, knives, or explosives on its ships. This includes pyrotechnics. Some Disney ships have inflatable rafts, but they are not permitted. Additionally, Disney will not verify the cleanliness of the environment in which food is prepared. It is also not allowed to use pre-cooked foods onboard.
You can only bring six beers on board. All beverages must be packaged in carry-on bags. If you are delayed, you must contact Disney Cruise Line. If you are found in violation of the rules, you will be charged $250.
Disney has made it easy for guests to book an adult-exclusive restaurant in advance. Guests will receive a schedule for the meal and will be assigned a personal waiting staff. They will learn your preferences and will rotate with you to three main dining venues.
Disney is aware that many people want to enjoy a more “adult-friendly” cruise experience. To make that possible, the company allows for smoking in selected areas.
