Climate Change: Ignoring It Won’t Make It Go Away!: 5 Essential Considerations

Beware Climate Change, denarii! Especially, those who do it because it is their personal opinion, political/personal agenda and/or it fits in their own interest! Although the overwhelming majority of climate/environmental scientists, not only in the country, but around the world, affirm the dangers of procrastination, paying close attention, in this area, appears the current occupant of the White House, Donald Trump . to deny its existence. President Trump informed the rest of the world that the United States will not abide by the Paris Agreements, making us the only major nation (and the smallest) to withdraw from these agreements. He brags about the quality of our nation’s environment, though, in the essential areas of cleaner air and water, the data indicates we’ve taken a big step — backwards! Simply denying the dangers will not make them go away and with that in mind this article will attempt to consider, examine, review and discuss 5 essential considerations in this area.

one. Data science: Clean air and water are not simply unmeasurable goals and/or priorities, but are easily measured, especially with today’s technology. The data and science clearly indicate that humans have had a significant impact on the environment and climate. When President Trump downplays its importance, this is a serious challenge to a sustainable future and the well-being of future generations! He likes to call it Global Warming and say that snowstorms etc have disproved it, whereas in fact the severity and extremes we have been experiencing should be of concern.

two. Total costs: President Trump proclaims the call, green Measures, they are too expensive and will hurt business! Although, it can be somewhat accurate, in a limited way. in the extremely short term, the long-term ramifications and total costs must outweigh these concerns. It continues, ostensibly for political reasons, to support the unsustainable coal industry, which has been losing its appeal and practicality for decades, and opposes renewable energy sources.

3. Future generations: Shouldn’t protecting the health and well-being, including air and water quality, of future generations be a top priority?

Four. Options; Step by Step: Addressing our future means considering options and alternatives, and acting responsibly! This will require a step-by-step process, focused on the best approach and path forward!

5. Risks of procrastination: Every moment wasted, and not proceeding, with well-considered and focused action, is dangerous for the future of the world! Don’t let politicians play politics and procrastinate!

Ignoring climate change will not make it go away! Wake up, America, and demand, political leaders, that you take thoughtful and focused action now, before it’s too late!
