Florida Timeshare

By definition, timeshares refer to partial ownership of a vacation home or resort, which can only be accessed for a set period of time. Families buy fractional shares of a vacation property, usually measured in weeks or months, and the property is shared with others. A ski resort in the French Alps in the 1960s was the first to employ this concept.

Timeshares are sold as a deeded interest or right-of-use contract. The resort can offer fixed, floating, or rotating weeks, with the most flexible accommodation options being in the latter two property types. Exchange networks, Resort Condominiums International (RCI) or Interval International (II) are wonderful options that allow owners to exchange their weeks, making the notion of timeshare vacations more exciting.

Unique and diverse, beautiful Florida is a must-see for any intrepid traveler. It is definitely an excellent option for a vacation, with its warm climate, sunny beaches and theme parks, ideal for both the young and those looking to retire. Orlando and Miami are popular locations. Disney, Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Starwood, Wyndham and many other classy chains offer timeshares in Florida. Timeshare vacations are consistent with convenient and affordable vacations, strengthen family ties, and provide leisure time to look forward to each year. The sun-kissed Florida coast has Miami Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Beach, and Fort Myers. Orlando with its Disney World and Sea World is an equally attractive option. Also worth visiting are Busch Gardens in Tampa, Gatorland, Indian Villages, the Kennedy Space Center, the Florida Keys, and Ft Lauderdale.

Timeshare reselling is often profitable as marketing and development costs would have been borne by people before you, but it is often impossible. Timeshare promotions allow guests to enjoy a “discount” vacation, but one has to tour the resort, a great marketing ploy. Like most things, timeshares have their advantages and disadvantages, and before you buy there are many factors, in addition to budget and personal interests, that must be taken into account.
