How To Make Lemon Ginger Enzyme

The enzyme drink is a healthy drink that should be taken daily. Some of its many benefits are: boosting the immune system, aiding in digestion, increasing metabolism (good for weight loss), reducing inflammation (aids in wound healing), and increasing energy level.

The enzyme drink is also classified as an alkaline drink. Its alkaline properties help balance the pH level in our body by consuming all those acid-forming foods that we consume every day. Examples of acid-forming foods are meats (pork, beef, lamb), dairy products (milk, egg, cheese), and prepared foods (candy, chocolate, microwave foods, and fast foods).

The different types of fruit enzymes have their own unique health benefits when consumed. For this article, I will talk about the ginger lemon enzyme. Ginger is used in Chinese medicine. Helps eliminate flatulence in the body. It can improve blood circulation, decrease stomach cramps, and reduce joint pain. Lemon is good for a sore throat and phlegm.

Ingredients needed to produce ginger and lemon enzymes:

– 2 lemons

– 250 ml of honey

– 150 ml

Make Ginger Lemon Enzymes Step by Step:

  1. Wash and dry all fruits.
  2. Cut the lemon into thin slices. Approx 0.5cm each
  3. Cut the ginger into slices of 0.5 cm each also
  4. Divide into 3 portions and place a layer of lemon and ginger in the bottle.
  5. Put 1/3 of the oligo sugar and honey on the layer.
  6. Repeat the process until all the ingredients are used up.
  7. Cover the bottle with a piece of cloth or cling film.
  8. Put the lid on top.
  9. Keep turning the bottle every day so that they are well mixed.
  10. Keep in a cool, dry place for 2-3 weeks.
  11. When you are ready to consume, store in the refrigerator.
  12. To serve, add 2 tablespoons of enzyme to a cup of water.

Tips: To obtain a thick enzyme, blend the fruits with a food processor or electric blender once they are ready to be consumed (after 2-3 weeks of fermentation).
