History

The story tells us about a French-Canadian city in Quebec. The Plains of Abraham is where General Wolfe and his English forces conquered Quebec from the French. It is nothing short of a miracle how men climbed up the face of the great rocky cliffs. If you saw it you would know why. A small handful could have held off General Wolfe and his men due to the nightmarish cliffs and terrifying heights. But they scaled it and won the citadel.

Here’s why…

The overconfident defenders, thinking that it was impossible for anyone to climb the cliffs, became careless and had a leisure time instead of guard duty. Seeing this, the English forces, at night, gained height and took the city.

Quebec was taken because the soldiers could not watch. For this same reason, most men and women will not go in the Rapture when Jesus returns in the clouds because they did not watch.

John 14:3“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also.”

Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

Seven years of great tribulation

This is a moment you’ll want to miss, whatever it takes. It will be hell to prepare you for the lake of fire and brimstone. The Bible teaches that the first three and a half years will not be as severe because of the seven-year pact that the antichrist makes with the Jews. This will change at the beginning of the last half of the 7-year Great Tribulation.

The antichrist will break his 7 year covenant with Israel in the last half of the tribulation and become a great enemy of the Jews. He will persecute them terribly and if God does not supernaturally intervene, they will be destroyed. God protects them, although many will die in the Great Tribulation.

During this time, millions will be saved. Speaking of those who had once been saved, but now went astray. Her eyes will open to see the truth once more. They will die, many tortured, because they confess Jesus as Lord instead of the antichrist. Most will take the number or mark 666 which automatically spells their doom and guarantees that they will go to the lake of fire and brimstone for all eternity.

Some people confuse the Rapture and the Second Coming. However, they are two separate events. The rapture will occur, taking those who are watching in true holiness and righteous living as Christians, up into the clouds to meet Jesus. He will personally take them back to Heaven, to meet the Father, spending 7 glorious years with all the other saints there.

The Second Coming will take place immediately after the seven years of the Great Tribulation. You can read all about this in the King James Version Bible, Revelation 19:11-16. This is one of the most exciting times for a Child of God. However, for the sinner, this will be terror because they are condemned to hell forever.
