Super Bowl XLI

Super Bowl XLI
First off, I’d like to congratulate Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith on becoming the first African-American coaches to lead their respected teams to the Super Bowl in NFL history. Super Bowl XLI will feature the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts who would have imagined these 2 teams would be paired up for this year’s Super Bowl. Let’s take a look at how these 2 teams match up: I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t think Chicago would beat New Orleans in the NFC Championship Game, but there are advantages to being at home. On the other side of the corner, the Indianapolis Colts have been the favorites to reach the Super Bowl in recent years and have finally overcome the obstacle. I will analyze the strengths and weaknesses of these 2 teams and give my prediction for Super Bowl XLI.

RB
Thomas Jones/Cedric Benson – Thomas Jones played the game of his life against NO playing with passion and persistence; Cedric Benson runs with power and has good vision.
Joseph Addai/Dominick Rhodes – Joseph Addai has impressed me, rookie runs with more power and speed than his scouting report predicted, Dominick Rhodes is the change of pace, has very good hands coming out of backfield.
Advantage: Chicago

Quarterback
peyton manning – What else can be said about this guy? He has the whole world believing him now, this guy has a rocket for an arm and the work ethic of a future hall of famer. He is clearly in a class championship by himself after besting his counterpart Tom Brady in AFC play. I don’t think Rex Grossman can keep up.
Rex Grosman – Rex has to play the best game of his life to keep up with Peyton and the colts, maybe rex is motivated since the game is in South Florida where he played his college ball. Rex has been carried through defending him all season, but the Cinderella story is over.
Advantage: Indianapolis

game keys : Can the Chicago Bears’ hard-hitting defense control the Colts’ high-octane offense? If Rex Grossman doesn’t get off to a good start he could be a beating, trust me Chicago has to contain this high scoring offense early and often. Another point of interest will be on special teams if the Colts can contain Devin Hester, Chicago’s dangerous return man can score anytime he touches the ball, so watch out.

Prediction : I think Indy will take this game with a 17-20 point advantage;
Indy 38 vs. Chicago 20.
